Pacman and his lady

Another fun commission! I love making Video Game characters, it's fun to watch them come alive on my hook.

Wumpa Fruit Commission

Here's a Wumpa Fruit I was commissioned to make. Wumpa Fruit are found in the Crash Bandicoot games for the Playstation consoles. I had to dye/hand paint the yarn to get the colors needed. As a bonus, after dying it with Koolaid, it now smells fruity too!

Here's an example of what they look like in game:

Now there's something I never knew I'd end up making!

Harley Quinn Commission

Here's my first doll-based commission! It's Harley Quinn from Arkham City. I made her shoulders jointed so her arms can move, and made her arms and legs poseable. Her neck is also poseable, so she can have that characteristic head-tilt that she does. She was a lot of fun to make! Doing the hair was a learning experience, and it turned out amazing. I can see why some people get addicted to making dolls, they can be a lot of fun to make!

Lavender the Kitty

Sometimes I get stuck finishing-off a project. I just have this odd dreaded feeling when it comes to being done with something. Weaving in ends, adding finishing details...it all seems like a ton of work, even when I know it really isn't.

I did all of the parts to this kitty one day back in December, and it took me until today to sew all of her together. I'm glad I finally did though, she's terribly cute! I stuffed her with some dried catnip from our yard, so my kitties can play with a little stuffed kitty.

In my head, I'm telling myself that I'd love to make a whole legion of these little cuties since I now know finishing it off isn't that difficult. But I know me - I'd just end up with various colors of kitty parts in my "projects" box..

Magenta Moo - The Blog

Hi all! Welcome to the dedicated blog for Magenta Moo! I thought it would be best to separate my personal blog, so I can talk more about the joys of crafting and selling!

I haven't posted any new things in the shop for a while because I've been working on three awesome commissions. I can't wait to show you all how neat they are! 2 are Amigurumis that I had to make up as I went, and the third is a helmet from an anime. I'm still working on the helmet, but once it's done I'll be sure to show you how cool it is!

I celebrated my first Etsy sale ever this week. That's a pretty awesome feeling to make something other people enjoy. I'll admit, it was hard to send Kirby off; a lot of love and time went in to making him.

I've got some new products on the hooks still for the shop, stay tuned for previews!
